This weekend we're heading on down to Myrtle Beach to support the SXSE organization to benefit music education. We're playing Saturday night at the Historic Train Depot downtown. Doors are at 6pm! For more information you can check out the SXSE website.

The following weekend, Dec. 8, we'll be at the Local 506 in Chapel Hill for the Showdown at the Hoedown. We're playing with lots of great bands, so it should be a fun time! Here's the lineup:  Richard Bacchus and the Luckiest Girls, The Backsliders, Hank Sinatra, Memphis the band & Hick'ry Hawkins. We'll go on around 9pm after Memphis.

Charlotte & Raleigh This Weekend

Good times ahead this weekend! First, on Friday night we'll be playing at the Evening Muse in Charlotte. The show starts at 10:30pm. Saturday night come find us at the Hideaway BBQ in Raleigh, showtime is 9:30pm. Eilen Jewell will be opening both shows so be sure to get there on time so you don't miss her! See you soon.

Shows This Weekend

This Friday and Saturday we'll be playing two shows in North Carolina. Friday October 12th we'll be holding a release party for Here Tomorrow, Gone Today in Winston-Salem at The Garage. Brian McGee and the Hollow Speed is playing with us and the show is only $8, so if you're around W-S, come on out! Saturday the 13th we'll be over in Hillsborough at The Blue Bayou Club. We would love to see you there.

Shows, Radio & Press

Hey everyone! We're happy to let you know that we have quite a few shows coming up this Fall. The first is at the Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill on Saturday September 29th. We'll also be in Winston-Salem, Hillsborough, Shelby, Raleigh and Myrtle Beach in December for SXSE. Keep an eye on the shows page for information.

Things have been going well with radio and press. "Were You Pushed (Or Did You Fall)" was played this past week on Altville.com and we've gotten adds at Americana stations all over the country, moving up to #50 this week. Give your local Americana station a call and spread the word! In press, keep an eye out for next month's issue of Harp Magazine for a review and some new links over at the Media section. At last, the new Two Dollar Pistols album on 8th House Records, Here Tomorrow Gone Today is, well...HERE! Twelve brand new originals in the inimitable Pistols style, produced by Rick Miller from Southern Culture on the Skids and featuring local luminaries like Mary Huff (also from SCOTS) and two of the Tres Chicas on vocals, plus "fifth Pistol" Clyde Mattocks (Johnny Paycheck, Supergrit Cowboy Band) on pedal steel. Available exclusively from twodollarpistols.com and select local stores now with a worldwide release on August 7th.
